Exams and Stress

Exams start  and with only a few weeks till then we thought we would give you a few top tips on how to stay stress free during the most important time of the academic year.

1. Find out when and where your exams take place .

2. Know exactly what the exam will consist of , past exam papers help.

3. Make sure that your notes are up to date

4. Spring clean before you start studying (get the procrastination out of the way first!)5. Stock up at Pick n’ Pay on exam snacks (drink a lot of water!)

6. Make a study time-table and stick to it! (organisation is key!)

7. The average person cannot study for long periods of time, pace your studying and set realistic study periods.

8. Resist temptations to log on to DC or facebook -even for a second- rather reward yourself in the evening after a soldi day of studying

9. Make a chilled play list to keep you focused according to your music preferences (e.g. classical or chilled rock ballads)

10.  Try and get at least 8 hours of sleep a day

11. Balance studying with physical excercise. Helps clear the mind and keep you focused!

12. Don’t over do the caffine, a jittery brain is not a focused one!
